Zhujiajiao & Zhouzhang are classic water towns just over an hour out of Shanghai and are often referred to as ‘the Venice of the East’.
Old architecture, heritage homes and museums, cafes, handicrafts, and gondolas winding their way through tree-lined canals that light up at night… If you like photography you cannot miss this visit -
especially after sunset, when all the daytime tourists leave and the peaceful town is all yours.

Itinerary

Price includes private transportation and entrance tickets to both villages.
Suggested itinerary:
8:00am: Pickup and departure
9:30 - 13:30: Arrival at Zhujiajiao, discover the town and local specialties lunch at a restaurant within the village.
14:00: Depart Zhujiajiao for Zhouzhuang
15:30: Arrival at Zhouzhuang, discovering the town, gondola ride (recommended), local specialties dinner, evening stroll and leisurely have a drink by the canals, settle down in typical accommodation within the old town.

9am: Return to Shanghai the following day, arriving at 10:30
