Hiking in Sintra

This tour is about exploring magnificent Sintra and enjoying each km on the way there and back - it will be a loop through Estoril's coast, Sintra and Cascais.

It starts with a short drive through the scenic road along the Taugus river in which we show you the most important points of Belem and the coast of Cascais. At Estoril we make a brief detour to see this neighbourhood villas and its famous Casino.

Sintra is our next stop. We believe that hiking is the best way to explore its unique combination of romantic castles, palaces, parks and gardens, as it allows you to experience the amazing energy that emanates from its trees, rocks and vegetation, often drenched in fog which gives it a ghostly atmosphere! We strongly recommend a hike starting at the village of Sintra all the way up to the Moorish Castle, into the Pena Palace gardens and back to Sintra (hungry enough to devour portuguese delicious food and Sintra's first-class pastry).

We then drive through Sintra´s mountain range all the way into Cascais passing by surfers and windsurfers paradise beach of Guincho. At Cascais we take a walk through the old part of town and we may have a delicious Santini ice cream overlooking the bay. Plenty of tips will be given to you if you wish to go back to Cascais by train on your own. We finally drive back to Lisbon through the lovely road along the coast.

Please note that we charge the tour per car (group of 4 people), and not by person. The group price is 200USD, weather it is 1 person or 4.
