The Mission tour starts at 11am, we learn the history of the Mission district from the Germans, to the Irish to the Mexicans to the Central Americans. We stop nearby at Dynamo donuts for their handmade outrageous donuts and coffee. We often sit outside. Along the way I talk about the murals, we visit Casa Lucas and Casa Sanchez and have tastes and visit a terrific butcher.
We also visit Precita Eyes Gallery, La Raza gallery, if they're open. Finally we go to Balmy Alley, which is full of historic murals. We conclude with lunch at a family Mexican restaurant: ceviche, pork in green sauce, chicken rice, beans, salad and tortillas.
