My preferred method of transit in San Francisco is jogging. The city is small enough to do so and one can avoid the hastles of parking while getting in good exercise (if you're anything like me, vacation is a time to eat a lot).
I will work with each group to customize a route based on what you want to see (we will definitely jog to the best vista points!) and desired pace & distance.
Typically, we can cover up to 3 neighborhoods on the tour, depending on desired distance & pace. By the way, I don't just want to show you SF, I very much want to discover something new with you: feel free to call attention to something that piques your interest! In this way my friends and I have found some pretty off-the-beaten-track type places and met some amazing people.
By the way, while I'm pretty new to Vayable, I've been giving tours as a Couchsurfing host for years! If you have an account, look me up!

Hello! My name is James, and I hope to be your tour guide to this wonderful city. I believe in taking nothing for granted. When I picked my apartment, I picked a place smack in the middle of the city, just two blocks away from Union Square! I find that traversing through throngs of tourists every day is a daily reminder of what a wonderful city this is. As an avid Couchsurfer (I have been hosting & surfing for the last 7 years!), I take my guests on amazing adventures through the city. I'm often asked: "don't you get tired of seeing the same things over and over?" Well, that hasn't really happened yet. Every time I take someone out I see something new. That is my wish for us--to discover the wondrous, the ridiculous, the gorgeous. In the process, I hope we all fall a little more in love with San Francisco! Full profile
