Eliott and Côme, two Parisian art students (Beaux-Arts and Arts-Décoratifs) will be happy to open you the doors of the French contemporary art scene.
As it spreads out in many different galleries throughout Paris, varying in quality and interest, it might be difficult for a foreigner to discover the Parisian cutting edge contemporary art gallery world.
We will share the gallery tour we often make to keep inspired, and stay up to date with the contemporary art scene. Given our knowledge in history of art and our practice in sculpture and painting, we will be able to offer unique insights on a otherwise seemingly hermetic art world. With this tour, you will have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the parisian art life.
As you are in Paris for an always to short time, we will help you efficiently discovery this aspect of Paris, and we hope to make it a exclusive and enriching experience.
The half-day tour will consist in a tour of the main Marais galleries (design and conceptual stores optional). We will first choose, according to your tastes a typical Le Marais trendy bar to have a drink and discuss about your art tastes to decide which galleries we will take you.
Then we will start off and show you the hard to find galleries and the most famous one, always fine-tuning the tour according to you tastes.
The tour will end around a friendly drink in a trendy place to recapitulate and exchange about what we have seen. We will also tell you about the other main exhibitions taking place in Paris at the moment, and answer any question you might have!
Côme Di Meglio and Eliott Paquet are both Parisian-bred young artists. They met at a Parisian Art foundation course, Ateliers de Sèvres, and since then they exchange a lot about art, and their mutual work. They inspire each other, and work on art projects together. Côme Di Meglio studies at Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts-Décoratifs de Paris, and specializes in sculpture and installation. Eliott Paquet studies at Ecole Nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris, where he practices painting and drawing. Both very outgoing Eliott and Côme like to share their artistic knowledge and exchange points of view, to enrich their accuracy, and move forward in their artistic work. Full profile
