Everyone talks of going up Grouse Mountain, well move over Grouse & check out the best uncrowded views of Vancouver and surrounds from Seymour Mountain.
We cheat & take a 1/2 hour car ride from downtown up to Mt Seymour. From there we get into our runners and follow a 45min trail to a rocky outcrop that has 180 degree views looking south over Vancouver, as far east as Mt Baker, and west out to Vancouver Island.
Depending on the sunset time we leave around 6/7pm & return around 9/930.
**side options include a stop in at Vancouver's best taco restaurant for a taco & drink if time permits.
**bring runners or hiking shoes. The trail can get muddy & rocky in places.

I have a keen ear for listening from other interesting tidbits about the city.
