The Jinshanling Great Wall is situated on the Big and Small Jinshanling, hence its name. Based on huge stone bars, the Wall was then made by huge bricks, each of which weighed about 12 kilograms (26 pounds). It has five main passes and 67 watchtowers. On the first floor there are some windows for shooting arrows. The roofs of the towers are many and varied, flat, arched, quadrangular or octagonal. Some are used to store weapons and hay. Others are used as soldiers' bedrooms. Among them, the most celebrated are the Big and Small Jinshan Watchtowers.
Chunhuiyuan Hot Spring Resort's springhead is Xiaotangshan hot spring. Xiaotangshan has been famous for its hot springs for over 300 years. Local legend has it that the imperial family of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) went there to relax. The temperature of water here ranges from 29 C to 90 C. People have used hot spring water in therapeutic baths for more than 200 years to treat rheumatism and other ailments. For foreign tourists, this is perhaps one of the most memorable cultural experiences and it will certainly spoil you.
Pick up from hotel around 8:30am. Transfer to the Jinshanling Great Wall by car. Jinshanling(2hours), a section of the Great Wall of China located in the mountainous area in Luanping County, 125 km northeast of Beijing. This section of the wall is connected with the Simatai section to the east. Some distance to the west lies the Mutianyu section. Jinshanling section of the wall was built from 1570 CE during the Ming Dynasty.
Lunch in a special characteristic restaurant. After lunch, drive to Chunhuiyuan Hot Springs Resort for about 2 hours' spa bathing at the hot springs pools. After enjoying the hot spring bath at outdoor public soaking pools, drive back to hotel.
