The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Beijing, China, and now houses the Palace Museum. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of Chinese government.

The Summer Palace - with its huge lake, hilltop views and energising walks offers a pastoral escape into the landscapes of traditional Chinese painting. The Summer Palace is about 12km northwest of the centre of Beijing, Summer Palace collects the traditional landscape architecture art great achievements and borrows the surrounding environment.

Pick up from your hotel at 8:30am,first visit to Tiananmen square(40 minutes) by car,Tiananmen Square is the heart and symbol of Beijing and is the biggest square in the world as well. The square can hold about one million people for public celebration or gatherings. Then tour the Forbidden city(2 hours),the largest and best-preserved ancient imperial palaces group with 500 years history. The palace was built between 1406 and 1420, but was burnt down, rebuilt, sacked and renovated countless times, so most of the architecture you can see today dates from the 1700’s and onwards.

Transfer to have lunch at a special characteristic restaurant(1.5 hours).

In the afternoon transfer to Summer palace for sightseeing, take a boat ride on the beautiful Kunming lake(2hour), then have a sip of Chinese tea in a local tea house. Transfer back to your hotel.
