As an old Chinese saying goes, " If one man guards the pass, then thousand are unable to get through". Juyongguan Great Wall is an important strategic gateway leading to Inner Mongolia. The slopes on both sides of this narrow pass are carpeted by a dense growth of foliage. The Juyongguan Pass used to be one of the eight famous scenic spots in Beijing. After years of renovation, the Juyongguan Great Wall was open to public in 1998.

Pick up from hotel at 8:00am. Transfer to Juyongguan Great Wall by car. Juyongguan or Juyong Pass is a mountain pass located in the Changping District of Greater Beijing, over 50 kilometers (31 mi) from central Beijing. The Great Wall of China passes through, and the Cloud Platform gate was built here in 1342 CE. Juyongguan is in the 18-kilometer (11 mi)-long Valley. The pass is one of the three greatest mountain passes of the Great Wall of China. The other two are Jiayuguan and Shanhaiguan (passes). Juyongguan Pass has two 'sub-passes,' one at the valley's south and the other at the north. The southern one is called "Nan (pass)" and the northern is called "Badaling".The pass had many different names during former Chinese dynasties. However, the name "Juyongguan" was used by more than three dynasties. It was first used in the Qin Dynasty when Emperor Qinshihuang ordered the building of the Great Wall. Juyongguan pass was connected to the Great Wall in the Southern and Northern Dynasties era.
After lunch, drive to Jiuhua Spa Resort for 2-4 hours' spa bathing at the hot springs pools. A good soak in one of Beijing's many hot springs is an excellent way to escape the hard-charging pace of modern urban life.The Jiuhua hotspring comes from 1230 meters underground, and the temperature of the hot-spring keeps around 40. After relaxation, drive back to hotel downtown.
