Mutianyu Great wall&Hongluo Temple Tour

Located in Huairou County about 45 miles from Beijing, Mutianyu Great Wall enjoys a long history and is part of the glorious culture of China. It connects Juyongguan Pass in the west and Gubeikou Great Wall in the east. The wall was first built in Northern Qi Dynasty (550 - 557). In Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), Tan Lun and Qi Jiguang, two famous patriotic generals, rebuilt it in order to strengthen its defensive potential when they guarded the strategic pass. It served as the northern protective screen, guarding the capital and imperial mausoleums for generations.
Hongluo Temple is 4 kilometers away from north Huairou District of Beijing . It is covers an area of 8 square kilometers and integrates the natural landscape with manmade features. First built in the fourth year of Xiankang during East Jin Dynasty, Hongluo Temple was renovated during Tang Dynasty .Hongluo Temple is the source region of Buddhism in north China, and it is also regarded as the No. 1 ancient temple in Northern China. It is said that Hongluo Temple in north China is as the Putuo Temple in south China. Three most prominent scenic areas of the temple complex are called Imperial Bamboo , Male and Female Gingko , and Pines Entangled with Chinese Wisteria .

Picked up from hotel, first stop would be the Great Wall at Mutianyu（2hours）, 80km away from the city. The Mutianyu Great Wall is known for its beautiful surroundings - dense woods and rich pastures and changing colors with the seasonal changes. The great wall winds its way over 1000 meters to the crest of a mountain before turning sharply and dipping downhill, forming a triangle known as the Ox-Horn Wall, Two unique features of this section are the double battlements and branch walls found throughout the area. Then you may visit the Chinese Jade carving on the way. After hiking at the Great Wall, have a rest and lunch will be Chinese food. Visit the Hongluo Temple in the afternoon, on the way go back to the hotel.
