Spectacular Underwater Greatwall Hiking

The Huanghuacheng section of the Great Wall is located in Huairou District, about 60 kilometers (37.3 miles) from Beijing. It was so named for the abundant yellow flowers that bloom in midsummer. Huanghuacheng Great Wall is famous for its harmonious mixture of the splendid wall, an awesome mountain and a great wide swath of water. This resort attracts the discerning visitor who wants to gad around off the beaten track.
Dingling Tomb is the only one excavated in this graveyard up till now. Zhu Yijun, the thirteenth emperor of the Ming Dynasty was burial together with his two empresses. Constructed between 1584 and 1590, this mausoleum used to have bridges, a stele pavilion, halls and towers and annexes on the ground. Hundreds of years later, only a stone tower, Bright Tower, survives following several fires. Behind the tower is the underground palace, 27 meters in depth. Visitors may enter via a tunnel. The stone palace occupies an area of 1,195 square meters and has five halls. Gates of the main halls are made of white marble, with fine thrones in the central hall, coffins and burial chests at the rear hall. Some precious articles excavated are on exhibition like crowns, ornaments, and utensils.

Pick up from your hotel around 8:00am. Transfer to Huanghuacheng Underwater Great Wall by car(approximate travelling time:2hours) ,hiking at the great wall takes about 2hours, lunch in a special characteristic restaurant.

In the afternoon transfer to Dingling Tomb area by car to see the imperial burial ground for the emperors in Ming dynasty. Visit a local Jade Museum to see the local handicraft works return back to your hotel.
