Train to Chengde One Day Tour

The Mountain Resort is most famous for the 72 scenic spots which were named by the Kangxi and Qianlong emperors. Many of the scenic spots around the resort's lake area were copied from famous landscaped gardens in southern China. For instance, the main building on the Green Lotus Island, "Tower of Mist and Rain," is modeled upon a tower in Nanhu Lake at Jiaxing in Zhejiang Province.

Much how the Putuo Zongcheng Temple was modeled after the Potala Palace, the Puning Temple was modeled after the Samye Monastery, the sacred site in Tibet. The front temple was constructed in the Chinese style, although the temple complex follows both Chinese and Tibetan architectural styles. The Puning Temple also houses the world's tallest wooden sculpture of the Avalokitesvara(22.28-meter-high and 110-ton), hence the Puning Temple is often nicknamed the "Big Buddha Temple". The complex features temple halls, pavilions, drum towers and bell towers.

Our tour guide will send train ticket to your hotel or home between Beijing to Chengde K7711(08:05 - 12:31), spend about 4 hours. Arrived at Chengde our local guide will pick up from train station to characteristic restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon visit Summer Mountain Resort.The sightseeing takes about 2 hours.

Then move on to Puning Temple, first built in 1775, it is a treasure house of the ancient arts of architecture and sculpture. it is one of the "Eight Outer Temples" of Chengde. The Puning Temple also holds the world's tallest wooden sculpture of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara (22.28-meter high ), hence often nicknamed the "Big Buddha Temple". Then we have nightlife in chengde. Finally you can return Beijing by train Chengde to Beijing 4454(22:01 - 03:31)
