Summer Palace & Hot Springs Spa Day Tour

The Summer Palace - with its huge lake, hilltop views and energising walks offers a pastoral escape into the landscapes of traditional Chinese painting. The Summer Palace is about 12km northwest of the centre of Beijing, Summer Palace collects the traditional landscape architecture art great achievements and borrows the surrounding environment.

Jiuhua's Xiaotangshan Hot Spring, since old days, is one of China's four major hot springs, abundantly rich in minerals and elements which are beneficial to the wonders of medical treatment. Its quality reaches the national standard of table-water. The unstable microelement in the water will form something of pellicle on the skin. It has good effect on curing skin disease and pigment deposition.

Pick up from your hotel around 9:00am. Transfer to Summer Palace by car. The Summer Palace (2.5 hours) radiates fully the natural beauty and the grandeur of royal gardens. Composed mainly of Longevity Hill (Wanshou Shan) and Kunming Lake, it occupies an area of 300.59 hectares (742.8 acres). There are over 3,000 man-made ancient structures which count building space of more than 70,000 square meters, including pavilions, towers, bridges, corridors, etc. It can be divided into four parts: the Court Area, Front Hill Area, Rear Hill Area and Lake Area.
Lunch in a special characteristic restaurant(1.5 hours).

After lunch, move on to a local big fresh water pearl market. Then drive to Jiuhua Spa Resort for 2 - 4 hours' spa bathing at the public hot spring pools. After enjoying the hot spring bath at outdoor public soaking pools, drive back to your hotel.
