Tijuca´s National Park was founded in 1961, comprised by 9815 acres. Located into said park is Tijuca’s Forest, largest urban forest worldwide. Tijuca’s National Park was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1991. Although it is the most visited park in Brazil, (2 milion visitors per year), it’s the second smallest in Brazil. We will ride the main sector of Tijuca´s National Park by car, with stops at it´s main interesting points.

Itinerary

Along the way we will visit the Taunay Waterfall, Mayrink’s Chappel, Visitor´s Center and walk a little trail called Student´s Trail that gives us a general idea of Tijuca´s Forest fauna and flora. After that we will reach anoter sector of the Park where we have the Chinese View, The Emperor´s Table and The Hang Gliding Launch. This tour is perfect for the visitor understand the importance of this huge forest in Rio and also enjoy one of the best views of the city.
