On this tour, we are going to hike the second highest peak inside Tijuca’s National Park, to have an amazing view of Rio de Janeiro.
Height: 3244 feet
Difficulty: moderate hiking
Hiking Time: 1.5 hour
The trail starts at Bom Retiro and is easy through its extent. There's a slight increase in difficulty in its final checkpoint due to its slope, where it is necessary to use the hands to pull and lean onto exposed roots to overcome the slope. From up top, the hiker is rewarded with a great view of the city, where it is possible to see Barra da Tijuca/Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Gávea´s Stone, Beautiful Stone, São Conrado, Sugarloaf, Lagoon, Christ the Redeemer, among many others.
