This tour will take you to the other side of Guanabara Bay, crossing our 13 kms long bridge to arrive at the city of Niterói. There we have a park created in 1991 thanks to an intense mobilization of the community, the Serra da Tiririca´s Park (PESET) is currently an ecotourism’ and entertainement’s pole. The park protects and preserves areas of rainforest, coastals, resting and mangrove, which makes it an important refugee for it’s fauna and an area of increasing interest to the cientific research and enviromental education.

Itinerary

Over 1000 feet high, the great view to Niterói´s ocean beaches and Rio de Janeiro as background are the main attractions here.The course is easy with about 30min duration, it is recommended for the children. The access is through the Visitor´s Reception Point, in Itacoatiara. We go up alongside a wall and it soon we face a short zig-zag, that lasts for about 20 minutes, untill we reach a small plateau.
