At this tour we will hike the highest peak of Tijuca´s National Park, Tijuca´s Peak, on the way to access the place where the trail starts we will make a stop and gaze the Taunay´s Waterfall, after that we will stop at the Visitor´s Center for learning more about the Park and it´s history.

Height: 3350 feet.
Dificulty: light to moderate hiking.

Itinerary

We will start hiking at the Largo do Bom Retiro going all the way untill the Papagaio’s bifurcation where we take the right path that runs up to the foot of the hill. Moving on to the northeastern side of the Peak, from there, going up in long turns untill the dorse between the Tijuca-Mirim´s Peak, going up untill the foot of the stairs (sculpted into the coastal), comprised by a chains’ banister and it’s 117 steps, finishing at the top of the peak, on a 2,6 kilometers way. Tijuca´s Peak is the highest point of Rio de Janeiro city, and it has an amazing 360º view of the city.

Pick up and drop out by car included.
